Welcome! Updated December 14, 2007

Hi there and welcome to Midnight Forest Lofts website! I am always trying to add new photos or links or information. Please check back often! I have been raising pigeons since 1994 when I started with Racing Homers. I have since fine-tuned my interests in pigeons and currently they are with Trumpeter breeds. YES I still have racing homers, mostly just barless now, and also have my Norwegian Tumblers, but I am finding that the Trumpeters are the best fit for me right now. I am very active member in my Trumpeter Clubs. I am currently the Bulletin editor for the English Trumpeter Club of America and I enjoy making it for the membership. The Trump Clubs are my primary clubs that I enjoy very much due to the wonderful people that are members of them! They are always very eager to answer any questions and even lend a bird if you are in need!

I believe in showing my birds and try to make progress with each breed I have towards their breed specific standard. I think it is imperitive to upgrade your birds every year. This can be proven in the show pen with your young birds. I think it is silly to have an old bird around for many years just to show it and win with it. What are you really proving? That you have one old bird that is good? You must be consistent. If you can't raise a young bird out of it that beats it, you are not progressing.

I also whole heartedly believe in getting other young people involved with pigeons and the hobby. I have gone to local elementary schools to give presentations and to local fairs to display my birds to get kids interested in them. Even if you can change the publics view about pigeons in general, you have won a battle.

Each year I show at the Annual Iowa State Pigeon Associaton in December. I show at the National Young Bird Show in Louisville, Kentucky in October. I show at the Minnesota State Pigeon Association's show in November. I also show at several English Trumpeter Shows held in Minnesota each year in July and October.

Pigeons are a great experience and I cannot imagine my life without them. Everday I learn something new about pigeons or my breeds and what a challenge they can be!

I am a proud member of the following clubs:

National Pigeon Association

English Trumpeter Club of America

Western American Trumpeter Club

International Bokhara Trumpeter Club

National German Trumpeter Club

Rare Breeds Pigeon Club

Minnesota State Pigeon Association

Iowa State Pigeon Association

Den Haag, The Netherlands Bokhara Trumpeter Show November 2001

Fellow Bokhara Breeders from all over Europe and the USA after the show. I made many new friends and finally met others that I had only corresponded with over the internet. I am the one with the baseball cap on! :)
